By using Cal/d (“the app”), you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.
Not medical advice
Cal/d is an informational tool, not a medical or healthcare service. Nothing in the app — including daily averages, calorie budgets, surplus countdowns, goal notifications, “eat back exercise” calculations, or any on-screen text, warning, or suggestion — constitutes professional medical, nutritional, dietary, or health advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
The app’s numbers are estimates derived from data in Apple Health, which may be incomplete or inaccurate. Calorie limits, deficits, and exercise estimates are general calculations and are not tailored to your individual health, conditions, medications, or needs.
Always consult a qualified physician, registered dietitian, or other licensed professional before starting, changing, or stopping any diet, exercise, fasting, or weight-management plan — especially if you are pregnant, nursing, under 18, elderly, or have any medical condition (including but not limited to eating disorders, diabetes, heart, kidney, or metabolic conditions). Never disregard or delay professional advice because of something you saw in this app. If you may have a medical emergency, contact emergency services.
You use the app and act on its information at your own risk.
The service
Cal/d reads dietary and active energy from Apple Health to show estimates. It has no account and stores your data on your device and in your private iCloud (see the Privacy policy). Features that open other apps (calorie trackers) simply launch those apps; we don’t control them and aren’t responsible for them.
Acceptable use
Use the app for your own personal, lawful purposes. Don’t attempt to misuse, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the app, and don’t rely on it for any clinical, professional, or safety-critical purpose.
No warranty
The app is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted operation. We do not warrant that calculations are correct or that the app will be error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any health outcome, loss, or injury, arising from your use of or reliance on the app or its information.
Changes
The app and these terms may change over time. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. Material changes will be reflected here with a new date.
