AWS CodeStar
- What it is
- A unified interface that sets up an entire CI/CD toolchain from a project template in minutes.
- Provisions AWS CodeCommit, AWS CodeBuild, AWS CodeDeploy, and AWS CodePipeline together, plus a project dashboard and team access management.
- Why
- Removes the setup work of wiring the developer tool services together for a new project.
- Note
- AWS deprecated CodeStar projects in 2024 in favor of Amazon CodeCatalyst, which serves the same “whole toolchain in one place” role with blueprints, issues, and environments. CodeStar is still named in the CLF-C02 exam guide.
