    • Data security service that uses machine learning and pattern matching to discover and protect sensitive data in Amazon S3.
  • What it finds
    • Personally identifiable information (PII), protected health information (PHI), financial data, credentials, and API keys.
    • Also flags buckets that are public, unencrypted, or shared with external accounts.
  • Why it matters
    • GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI DSS obligations require knowing where regulated data lives.
